European workshop on Waterfont Urban Design (EWWUD) gather 80 students from several European and North American universities, who work together for two weeks in Lisbon.
EWWUD 2012 is the third edition that will take place between the 18th and 31st March 2012.
This year’s study area will be Sines a fast growing comunity that face unique challenges.
The workshop has the following objectives:
- Generate a methodology to contribute for sustainable development of port cities;
- Exchange management visions and common practices that succeed to re-establish its relation with water, improving environmental conditions while supporting the port activity;
- Discuss the influence of geographic and historical factors on the present situation of ports and cities, and produce cartographic records of the transformation of the waterfront;
- Comparison of cultural, environmental and historical heritage solutions;
